Biography

Tan Xiaoyan, Executive Vice President of Hangzhou Plastic Surgery Hospital and Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, has consistently advanced clinical care, teaching, and research in parallel over the past 28 years. Her comprehensive rhinoplasty and breast plastic surgery techniques enjoy a very high reputation in China. She served as chief editor of the nose-related chapters in two major Chinese works, Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery, and has published dozens of papers. The projects she participated in have won multiple provincial and municipal Science and Technology Progress Awards. In 2007, she was named "China's Top Ten Plastic Surgeons" by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; from 2009 to 2010, she was awarded the title of "Pacesetter in Women's Contributions" by the Hangzhou Municipal Government.
